Wings to Dreams
2015

Nelson Mandela -

Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.

Wings to Dream 2015 was held in the year 2015 in a very small province of Talsangi, Solapur, Maharashtra with the sole purpose of supporting children from the village to come to schools and get education. Born Again Welfare Foundation was the first NGO to reach out to them and provide a helping hand.

We observed that because of the poverty children did not have much resources which can motivate them to attend their schools. They would carry their notebooks in plastic bags and some used only one notebook for all subjects.

Children were inclined to work and help their parents in farms than going to schools. Because of this reason many children used to leave schools as well neglecting its importance.

After complete analysation of the complete scenario, we observed that the situation can be changed with small amount support to the schools. So, with the help of our loyal donors, we decide to execute Wings to Dreams in the Jilha Parishad schools. Under this program, we gave attractive school bags and good quality note books to 2 Jilha Parishad school children. The number beneficiaries was around 364.

As we conducted the program and visited back the village for feedback, we came to know that this simple act of support proved very helpful. The attendance was drastically improved of both the schools. The children now started coming to schools with their new bags and notebooks with new smiles and a shine in their eyes. ‘That’s the satisfaction we are looking for and it is good.’ said our founder Ashish.
